IraqMoto Community Guidelines

Effective date: July 21, 2026

These Community Guidelines apply to all listings, profiles, photographs, reviews, messages, reports and other user content on the IraqMoto website, iOS app and Android app. They form part of the IraqMoto Terms and Conditions.

1. Marketplace purpose

IraqMoto is for lawful motorcycle-related marketplace activity. Current public listings must be for motorcycles. Additional motorcycle-related categories may be introduced later with updated category rules.

2. Accurate and lawful listings

Users must:

  • advertise only motorcycles they own or are legally authorized to offer;
  • use recent, accurate photographs of the actual motorcycle;
  • state the real price and avoid misleading "contact for price" or fake-price tactics where a price field is required;
  • accurately describe make, model, year, mileage, location, condition, modifications, accidents and known defects;
  • accurately disclose whether lawful registration, ownership and transfer documents exist;
  • update or remove unavailable listings and mark completed sales appropriately; and
  • cooperate with reasonable moderation requests.

Publication or approval does not mean IraqMoto inspected or verified a motorcycle or user.

3. Prohibited listings and content

The following are prohibited:

  • stolen, fraudulently documented, unlawfully possessed or illegally modified motorcycles;
  • false ownership, identity, document, price, condition or mileage claims;
  • counterfeit or unauthorized goods;
  • weapons, illegal goods, illegal services or content unrelated to the permitted marketplace;
  • pornography, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material or solicitation;
  • graphic violence, credible threats, encouragement of violence or self-harm;
  • hate speech, discriminatory abuse, bullying or harassment;
  • malicious links, malware, credential theft or deceptive requests for money;
  • spam, duplicate listings, keyword stuffing or manipulation of search and rankings;
  • personal information published without permission;
  • copyrighted photographs, logos or text used without authorization; and
  • content that violates Iraqi law or another applicable mandatory law.

4. Messages

Messages must relate to legitimate marketplace communication. Users must not send threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, sexual content, spam, phishing, repeated unwanted contact, requests for illegal activity or deceptive payment instructions.

Users may report an individual message directly from a conversation, report the other user, and block that account. Blocking is enforced by IraqMoto's servers and stops further messages between the two accounts; blocked accounts can be reviewed and unblocked in account settings. A serious messaging concern may also be sent to [email protected].

5. Reviews and ratings

Reviews must reflect a genuine interaction. Users may not buy, sell, exchange, threaten, fabricate or coordinate reviews. Reviews must focus on marketplace conduct and must not contain unrelated personal information, harassment or discriminatory statements.

IraqMoto may remove reviews that are fraudulent, irrelevant, abusive, legally problematic or unsupported by a genuine interaction.

6. Safety and fraud prevention

Users should:

  • meet in a safe public place;
  • independently verify identity, ownership and documents;
  • use a qualified independent mechanic or inspector;
  • verify registration and transfer requirements with competent authorities;
  • avoid advance payments to unverified persons;
  • use lawful, traceable payment methods; and
  • contact competent authorities if a motorcycle may be stolen or a person may be in immediate danger.

IraqMoto does not provide escrow, delivery, title transfer, inspection or motorcycle-purchase refunds.

7. Reporting

Users may report advertisements, users and individual messages through the reporting controls in the Services, or by emailing [email protected]. A useful report should include:

  • the relevant listing or profile URL;
  • the reason for the report;
  • supporting facts or evidence that the reporter may lawfully provide; and
  • whether there is an immediate safety risk.

Urgent safety reports are normally reviewed within 24 hours, but final resolution is not guaranteed within 24 hours. Reports must be submitted in good faith. Repeated knowingly false, retaliatory or abusive reporting may lead to restrictions.

8. Enforcement

Depending on severity, history and risk, IraqMoto may:

  • request correction or evidence;
  • reject, hide, expire or remove content;
  • limit messaging or listing functionality;
  • issue a warning;
  • suspend or permanently terminate an account;
  • preserve evidence; or
  • report suspected crime or imminent danger to competent authorities.

Credible stolen-property fraud, child exploitation, serious threats, repeated intentional fraud or severe abuse may result in immediate permanent termination.

9. Appeals

Users may appeal a moderation decision by emailing [email protected] with the account email, the decision being challenged and relevant evidence. An appeal does not automatically suspend a safety restriction or guarantee restoration.

10. Dealer and promotional labels

No paid dealer, boost, subscription or promotional-badge product is currently active. If introduced later, a paid/promoted label will indicate placement or a commercial relationship only and will not guarantee a seller, dealership or motorcycle. "Identity Verified" may be used only when legal identity was actually checked under a documented process.

11. Changes and contact

IraqMoto may update these Guidelines as the marketplace evolves. Material updates will be identified by a new effective date. Questions and reports may be sent to [email protected].

English controls if an Arabic or Kurdish translation conflicts with this version, to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
